
Bronwyn H. Hall is Professor in the Graduate School at the University of California at Berkeley and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Institute for Fiscal Studies, London. She is also the founder and partner of TSP International, an econometric software firm. Professor Hall currently serves as an associate editor of the Economics of Innovation and New Technology and Industrial and Corporate Change and as advisory editor of Research Policy. She is a member of the U.S. Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee, and several research advisory boards (Deutsche Bundesbank; Solvay School of Business, Universite Libre de Bruxelles; Innovation Research Centre, Imperial College and Cambridge University). Past service includes membership in the Science, Technology, and Economic Policy Board of the U.S. National Academies and the Census Advisory Committee of the American Economic Association. She received a B.A. in physics from Wellesley College in 1966 and a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University in 1988.
